Genuine Antique Ancient Axe Silver Viking Talisman Pendant Amulet.  Worn as a protection amulet.   Circa 800 - 1000 AD.  Found with a metal detector on the territory of Western Ukraine, Khmelnitsky region. The Viking village of Kievan Rus.  Kievan Rus was founded by the Viking Oleg, ruler of Novgorod from about 879. In 882 he seized Smolensk and Kiev, and the latter city, owing to its strategic location on the Dnieper River, became the capital of Kievan Rus.
