Beautifully crafted Authentic Roman silver ring with dog chasing wild boar. The Ancient Romans left behind many more representations of boar hunting than the Ancient Greeks in both literature and art. Hunting became popular among young Romans starting from the third century BC. Hunting was seen as a way of fortifying character and exercising physical vigour. Circa 3rd to 4th century AD.
This Ancient Antique Roman Ring was initially found in the remains of a Roman Village in Serbia where coins and other rings were unearthed which helps date the piece. But later bought from an Antiquities Dealer.
