This authentic Roman Bronze ring was found at a Roman site in Ancient Thracia and dates from 100 B.C. to 100 A.D.  It features a raised up bezel in the shape of the central shield boss of a Legionary shield.

The bezel has a raised step and the nice central point, just like they were done on the shields. There are also many lines engraved on the bezel to create a SUN pattern. The bezel has a remarkable design to it and the fact that the design is raised up onto several levels show real design skill. The band is of the strap variety and has some of the very best “Strap & Buckle” decorations remaining on its shoulders.

The cleaned but original jade green patina remains intact on this fine ring.
