Roman Bronze Pentagram Ring
Roman Bronze Ring with Legionary Pentagram - Pentacle found in the Balkans by metal detector and dates from the first few centuries A.D.
This authentic ancient Roman Bronze ring has a heavy bezel that measures 15mm X 12mm and is a whopping 4.5mm thick. This ring features a "Pentagram" symbol surrounded by a nice bezel outline.
This example has highlighting lines radiating outwards from the center. Each shoulder swoops away gracefully from the bezel whose shape is mimicked in the design of the band. The Pentagram or Pentacle has been used as a mystical sign for millennia and has a deep spiritual meaning for many cultures. It wasn't until the Middle Ages and the Inquisition in particular that a negative connotation began to be associated with it.
This ring was cast from a very bright, reddish-gold alloy and comes in a large size.
